1970's sculptural italian rattan planters

A pair of handwoven rattan pedestals—tapered, rhythmic, almost botanical in form. Each piece rises in a single gesture from a wide, trumpet-like base to a flared open top, evoking woven tulips or sculptural vessels caught mid-bloom. Their pale, sun-washed finish softens the geometry, revealing subtle tonal shifts between straw and ash.

The pair carries a kind of accidental symmetry—slightly irregular, perfectly human. They stand confidently as plant stands, art plinths, or purely as forms that balance air and line.

Condition
Excellent structural integrity with small, visible imperfections consistent with handmade work. A few strands subtly lifted or darkened with age—celebrated rather than corrected, in keeping with E rotto’s ethos of elegant imperfection.

Styling
Perfect flanking a mirror, entryway, or soaking in sunlight by a window. They create vertical rhythm in a room otherwise grounded in horizontals.
